Authorized ride-alongs are allowed with a pre-scheduled shift assignment of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. after VBEMS receives an approved criminal background check by the Virginia Beach Police Department.
